Making Money by Blogging
Many of us blog for fun but what if I say we can make our hobby into a money making machine? I know many of my friends are starting to blog and all are wondering how we can turn this hobby into a full time income. When I first started blogging I was mainly was doing it for the fun of it; little did I know I can make some cash out of it. I bumped into a few blogs and thought hey if they could make money why cant I?
First of all my advice will be remove all those google adwords, widgetbucks, those ads that pay you per click they are useless and look ugly.
Some of the quick easy ways to make money without the effort of making visitors on the website actually click on links to make you money is by Review Me & Text Link Ads.
Review Me
Now this is a pretty great way to make money what you pretty much do is review products/ services and promote it via your blog. How simple could that be? You are getting paid to pretty much post a post on your blog. I don’t think it could be easier then that to make money.
Text Link Ads
Again this pretty much like the Review Me but this time you’re just selling text link ads on your website. Again you’re not promoting any ads like Google Ads where a user has to click on an ad for you to make a few cents because you’re getting paid to just place a text link ad on your site.
Now I know there are many ad programs like Google Adwords, Adbrite, Widgetbucks and so on which display various ads on your website according to the relevance of your website. Now each time a user clicks on an ad you make a few cents right? Now think of it this way what if you promote a product directly from your website with affiliates and each time a person ends up buying something you make a few dollars rather then a few cents? That sounds much sweeter then making a few cents when some one clicks, right? Majority of the time people that click on ads are actually interested in it so why not promote products/services via affiliates.
You can literally promote anything with affiliates from cell phones, stock brokers, credit cards, hosting services, aquarium products, and so on. So pretty much whatever your blogging about you will pretty much find products/services to promote with your blog.
Here are some great affiliate networks you can join with:
• Neverblue Ads
• AzoogleAds
• Incentaclick
• Pepperjamnetwork
• Peerfly
• Commision Junction
Now many people usually visit once and sometimes never end up visiting back wouldn’t it be great if we can get them to come back and maybe promote more products to them so we could earn some more dollars as well as traffic? Email Marketing is the way to go! You pretty much capturing there email some how by doing a contest, free e-book or so on something that will make them enter their emails.
With email marketing you can always send news updates, or product reviews or so on to their emails directly.
• Constant Contact
• Aweber
• Icontact
Now another cool thing you can do with your Blog to make some money is similar to those pay per click but it’s with Kontera which pretty much takes random words in your blog and underlines them. When a user hovers over the word an ad is displayed relating to the keyword. How cool is that?
Hopefully this post is useful for many of you, I know and have seen many people tweet trying to make money by blogging but miserably failing. So I decided to make this post to help you out.

I’ve used Kontera before and found it to be counterproductive. A lot of bloggers seems to hate it too because it just dilutes the article.
The other suggestions are great though. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with CM, the Kontera ads are annoying from a readers perspective. There was a business blog that I used to frequent, but since the start of this month, they have added those randome text link ads and I cannot bare going to that site anymore. If my mouse touches something, a random ad box opens up…I know people are trying to find the right balance for monetization and esthetically pleasing. But some just fail to take the latter in place or the readers thoughts.
The rest of the points are def great!

I am currently looking at MarketLeverage, they seem to be very promising indeed! You might want to check them out too.

You’re already several steps ahead if you’re blogging primarily because you enjoy it. It’s so much easier to monetize a site you enjoy working on, rather than finding a trend that you think will make money and building a site around it. Good luck, and let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.
@Dino- Thanks! Seeing you everywhere lately.

Your first two recommendations might get bloggers into a lot of trouble with Google. Take note that buying/selling links (unless links are ‘nofollow’ are risky and Google has the habit of penalizing link brokers.

Yes Aman and ColourfulMoney I find it pretty annoying so I have not installed it myself but it is a good source of income if you are trying to squeeze every single dollar out of your blog like JohnChow is hahaha.

I will agree you can get in trouble but many people use them still I personally use them on some blog just for sole purpose of making money out of them with the high page rank of the domain.
