Great Video Worth a Watch! Can’t wait to get my Invite for Google wave!
Introduction to the Google Ad Auction
Now I know many people are wondering how does Google Adword work? How do they determine the pay per click? Here is a video done by the Google Chief Economist, Hal Varian, and he does a very good job at explaining everything. It’s about 10 minutes long but I say it’s worth every second as he explains everything in simple terms.
Bing could it be the Google Killer?

So I have been hearing a lot of fuss about “Bing” but I never really had time to find out exactly what “Bing” was. So a couple of days ago I ended up visiting Bing.com and it’s pretty much a search engine made by Microsoft to compete against Google. I ended up giving it a shot for the past 2 days and the only thing I actually like about it is that some of my sites are ranking much higher on Bing then on Google other then that I think Google is much better. I don’t see anything wrong with Google for me to go switch to Bing nor do I see anything that Bing offers that Google does not.
Now on the side note if you read the news despite Bing being a new search engines and only been launched a few days ago it is beating Yahoo already.
So what do you think about Bing? Are you Planning on Switching Over on Using to Bing rather then Google or going to stick to Google?
A few tweets I received from:
justmenagerie@ArfanChaudhry Google (:
dgtalps@ArfanChaudhry Need to use it a few times in-order to compare.
KAT2222@ArfanChaudhry hmmmmmm. I am not sure yet. I am so used to google.
m0rgan11@ArfanChaudhry I tried Bing a few times, it’s really easy to use. But I have google on my toolbar so I use that when I’m in a hurry. You?
JennaIsWriting@ArfanChaudhry Bing is so try-hard Google that I don’t see the point in switching! Why not just stick with the original?
swiftmed@ArfanChaudhry defo sticking with Google!
sparky_005@ArfanChaudhry No way. I’m sticking with Google. Bing got the first thing wrong — what we care about in a search engine is speed.
stevedriz@ArfanChaudhry Bing offers great features but nothing that would make me switch from Google entirely. Using both is an option.
sparky_005@ArfanChaudhry Search engines have to be fast. Google wins this through minimalism. Bing slows everything down with all the fancy graphics.
stevedriz@ArfanChaudhry In addition, Bing search results lack relevancy, which is somewhat important ;o)
legacyb4@ArfanChaudhry Bing? Would you trust a search engine named (Chandler) Bing? Sorry, will stick with what I know works.
legacyb4@ArfanChaudhry Maybe 5 years from now, we’ll be Chandlering things instead of Googling.
Google had recently optimize results for smart phones
Couple days ago it was posted on Google’s Blog about the optimization google had made for its search engine results for the following Iphone & Android. The changes are only available for English at the moment. There is no need for zooming and scrolling as the pages fit to the specific phone’s screen.
